The Library Corner for 9/13/07


By Lynnell Eash, Bronson Branch Manager. Friday Tales start September 14th from 11:00-11:30 for ages 3-5. This program will run every Friday through November 16th. Also, on Friday September 14th at 6:00, we will have a Family Film Night. Families are encouraged to attend. The program will be held in the basement so bring along a sweater or blanket because it does get cool downstairs. Call the library 369-3785 for the film title and to register to attend. Branch District Library System Board will hold their monthly meeting on September 17th at the Sherwood Library. The meeting will start at 6:00 and the public is welcome to attend. The next meeting of the Friends of the Bronson Library will be September 18th at 5:00PM in the Library Basement conference room. The Teen Club will hold its first meeting on Friday September 21st at 4:00. This is a new program for ages 12-18. Some activities we will be doing during club meetings will be book discussions, crafts, movies, pizza parties and much more. We would like to welcome Helena Hayes as the newest employee in the Branch District Library System. Helena will be working from the Central Branch in Coldwater as the Adult Services Librarian for the whole District System. The Friends of the Bronson Library will be holding a Books and More sale at the Farmers Market in downtown Bronson on Saturday, September 15th from 8:00 AM to ?. All proceeds will will go to the Handicapped Access project. Here’s your chance to support your local library and add to your personal collection. Paper backs are 25 cents, Hard Covers are 50 cents each and a bagfull of your choice is $2:00.
