Family Fright Night

Family Fright NightBranch District Library would like to invite all ghosts, goblins, and creatures of the night to join us for an evening of family fright to be held at the Coldwater Branch. This free community event for all of Branch County will be on Saturday, October 19.

From 4pm-7pm we will have family friendly games, crafts, and trick or treating. This time is great for ages 0-99. Starting at 8pm until 10pm, is the spookier time for older teens and adults. Activities will include a zombie maze and ghost hunting.

A Midwife in Amish Country

Kim Osterholzer, a midwife who's received nearly 600 babies since 1993, ushers us behind the doors of Amish homes as she recounts her lively and life-changing adventures learning the heart and craft of midwifery. Join us as she talks about her book, A Midwife in Amish Country, which chronicles the escapeds of her 9 year apprenticeship grappling with the joys and struggles of homebirth.
