It is with sadness that we share news of the passing of our friend and colleague, Phyllis Rosenberg. Phyllis worked for the Branch County library, and was a former Director of the Coldwater Public Library. She led the effort to renovate and restore the Coldwater Library building in the late 1970s and presided over the creation of the Branch District Library in 1991. She retired from the library in 1995 and remained an active volunteer in the community.

March is soon approaching, and so are the book discussions for One Second After, by William Forstchen.

It is a story about how one man struggles to save his family and his small North Carolina town after America loses a war that wipes out all electricty in the country, sending America back to the Dark Ages.  Without communication, transportation or power, how will they survive?
