On Friday, March 6, 2026, Union City experienced one of the worst storms Branch County has seen in over 60 years. Sadly, three lives were lost, many were injured, and homes were destroyed.
In an effort to preserve the history of this event and document its impact on our community, the Holbrook Heritage Room is creating an archive of photographs and videos from the storm and its aftermath. These materials will help ensure that the experiences of our community, both the devastation and the resilience shown in recovery, are remembered for years to come.
We are asking community members who captured photos and/or videos during or after the storm to consider sharing them with us. Images of the storm itself, damage, cleanup efforts, emergency response, and neighbors helping neighbors are all valuable pieces of this historical event.
We are grateful for the support of our community as we work together to preserve this important chapter in our local history.
