- We are on schedule to start the morning of Monday, April 1 in the basement. The basement may be out of order from Monday April 1 through Wednesday, April 10. This includes all of Teen Space, Young Adult Books, and the teen computer lab. Some Library of Things collection items may not be available during this time as well. The basement is currently scheduled to re-open Thursday, April 11.
- Work is scheduled to begin on the first floor on Wednesday, April 10. The adult computer lab, audiobooks, and DVDs will be unavailable from Wednesday, April 10 through Monday, April 22. The entire library is scheduled to be closed due to electrical work on the main desk from Wednesday, April 17 through Monday, April 22. The Library and 1st floor adult computer lab, audiobooks, and DVDs are scheduled to re-open on Tuesday, April 23.

BDL is excited to announce new carpet coming to the Coldwater Branch this Spring! It will replace nearly 20-year-old carpet and provide a fresh look to our historic building. The new carpet will be installed in squares, allowing us the option to easily replace any portions that become stained or damaged in the future. The project will begin Monday, April 1, and is slated to continue until the end of the May. The upgrades will start in Teen Space (basement) and work their way up.
The library will be open as much as possible during the process. But there will be intermittent disruptions in areas of the building as the work progresses. Electrical work at the Service Desk area on the first floor will cause a temporary closure of the entire library. Make sure to bookmark this BDL page. To keep you informed, we will post updates here as the carpet project continues.
