The Sherwood Library is open only a few hours each week, but there's a lot going on. Check out our calendar for all the events, and look here for interesting stories about the library.

We'll be having some work done on our telephone lines this week.  While this work is being done, we will have no telephone service at the library.  We expect this outage to last only this week.  Thanks for your patience.

Stevens Puppets performed Sleeping Beauty on April 17 at our library. Boys and girls and their parents all enjoyed the very funny program. Bob Walls the puppet master did a wonderful job bringing the marionettes to life and allowing the children to get a closer look after the program.

A bookmark contest was held during the month of April with the winners having their bookmarks printed and distributed during National Library Week. The theme was "I Love My Library Because..." Winning bookmarks are available at the library.

The Sherwood Library celebrated Barbie Millicent Roberts 48th birthday on March 9, 2007. She is better known at just "Barbie". The children enjoyed creating crowns, listening to a couple Barbie stories and eating pink cupcakes. There was a large display of dolls and a few books about the history of the Barbie doll. Even the adults had a good time looking and remembering.
