Over the past few months we have had several children's dvdspic 017 stolen right out of their cases here in the library. A couple weeks a ago a wonderful 8 year old girl by the name of Sunny Smith came to us and said she owns a copy of Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper and wondered if she could donate it to the library to replace the one stolen.

The Bronson Branch Library will host author, Bill Jamerson of Escanaba, who will give a talk on his new book, BIG SHOULDERS. The program will be Tuesday evening, October 9 and begin at 6:30pm. The historical novel follows a year in the life of a seventeen-year-old youth from Hamtramck who enlists in the CCC in 1937. He joins two hundred other boys in a work camp near Raco in the Upper Peninsula. The adult novel is a coming-of-age story in which Nick Radzinski has to get along with a bully, cope with an overbearing sergeant and try to find who is out to frame him.
