On Friday March 7 the First United Methodist Church of Bronson will host a Soup and Sandwich Supper to help raise money to make our library a barrier free building. The meal will be served from 5:00- 7:00 p.m.  The menu will give folks a choice of soups and sandwiches  such as Chili, Vegetable Beef or Potato Soup (no meat). The sandwiches are Ham, Hot Dogs, Egg Salad and Peanut Butter and Jelly. A drink will be provided and there will be an assortment of desserts.

On March 7 the First United Methodist Church will hold a soup and sandwich supper to help raise funds for the library's barrier free access project. In conjunction  with this supper the Friends of the Bronson Library will hold a silent auction. At this time they are seeking donations to put on the auction. If you have an item you would like to donate or questions regarding this project please contact the library and we can have a Friends member get in touch with you. Mark your calendars for March 7 from 5:00-7:00 and we hope you will be able to attend.

basketclass08 006Adults are you feeling the winter blahs? We are having a "Beat the Winter Blahs" contest. All you have to do is pick-up a reading log, read five books by February 29, return your reading log and your name will be entered into the grand prize drawing for a basket filled with all sorts of comfy goodies.

The Bronson Library now has a book discussion group, The Bronson Bookies,which meets once a month. These meetings will be on the third Tuesday at 6:00 pm. On February 19 we will be discussing the book "Peace Like A River" by Leif Enger. If you are interested in joining stop by the library for more information and check out a copy of the book. Last week at Friday Tales the children made snowflake pictures heard a couple snow stories and dressed the weather bear for his play time outside. We will hold another Friday Tales on January 25 from 11:00 to 11:30.

The Bronson Bookies is the name of our newly formed monthly book discussion group. This group will be meeting the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

 The first book chosen to be discussed at the February 19 meeting will be Peace Like A River by Leif Enger.
