The Library Corner for 03/27/08

At the last Friday Tales the children heard several stories about St. Patrick's day and then met Lenny the Frog Leprechaun and were sent on a search for Lenny's gold which he had hidden throughout the library. They found handfuls of gold which was then divided between all the children. It was very exciting trying to figure out where Lenny might have hidden his gold! Our next preschool story time will be Friday March 28 at 11:00 a.m. for ages 3-5.

The Girls Club met and looked at the newest American Girl book about fourth grader Julie, a girl from 1974. After learning a fewagc1974 011 details from that year the girls made pet rocks and learned a couple macramé knots. The next meeting will be April 18 at 4:00 p.m.

The Bronson Bookies met last week to discuss Mitch Albom's book "For One More Day". This title was chosen as the book for the One Book One County program sponsored by the Branch District Library System. Everyone enjoyed the book and the discussion was quite interesting. We also thank Mick and Stephanie Davis for bringing the cookies for refreshments. Next month the Bronson Bookies will be reading "Little Heathens: hard times and high spirits on an Iowa farm during the Great Depression" by Mildred Armstrong Kalish. Stop by to reserve your copy.

Teen Club will meet Friday March 28 at 4:00 p.m.

Movie Night Friday March 28 at 6:00 p.m. Call the library for the film title. 369-3785. Popcorn and water will be served free of charge. Hope you can attend.
